Wedding flowers- why Silk?

Wedding bouquets... Have you thought of Silk ones?

If you are torn about the idea of Silk vs fresh, I hope this blog helps you decide

I got married in Fiji in 2014 and when I contacted the resort, they told me they didn't have peonies (my favourite flower), and they said they only did tropical flowers (orchids, frangipanies, etc). So I decided to get beautiful silk ones and let me tell, I can not be happier with my decision!

Not only I was able to get them with a few weeks in advance, got the colours I wanted but also all my bridal party kept their flowers as a memoir of my special day, something that they wouldn't have been able to do if they were fresh. I still have them on my dressing table to remind me of the best day of my life!

Silk flowers have come a long way and if you are one of those people who like to oragnize all in advance, I highly recommend you to consider silk ones as they can be made within months prior and even use them for pre-wedding photoshoots, bridal parties etc. Forget about 'seasonal flowers' as with silk flowers, you don't have to worry about that!
